Honeymoon.

Zac and I decided to go on a cruise for our honeymoon and picked the Bahamas! I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas and it was a place that neither Zac or I had ever been, so it was perfect and the price was right. Also, a cruise was where we first kind of hit it off and knew that our relationship was more than just a fling.
We stayed our first night as a married couple in the Trump Tours in Las Vegas. The hotel was amazing, and we played the honeymoon card so we got our room upgraded and I wish I could always stay in a hotel like that. We got on our flight, and all of the flights our seats were not next to each other so we had to try to convince people to switch us seats. It was not fun. But we made it to Florida, went to Downtown Disney our first night then the next morning caught out shuttle to our cruise ship, the Carnival Ecstasy. After a day in a half at sea we made it to our first destination.

Our first excursion was Parasailing. I would do it again in a heart beat. It is so fun and so relaxing. We got strapped into our harnesses and then our captain took us out to start the fun. To parasail all we had to do was sit on the back of the boat and then we got lifted up into the air. It was fun to be able to do it with Zac so we could talk about the things we saw and enjoy the experience together. Also, we did what is called a "splash down" which is when they lower you down in the water for your feet touch and then lift you back up. The landing was simple too. We just stand up and land on the boat. I was nervous for no reason.

Half Moon Cay is an island in the Bahamas owned by Carnival and Holland America cruise lines. It is really well kept and there isn't anyone there but workers and fellow cruisers. This old ship is actually a bar.

Day 2 in the Bahamas we went clear bottom kayaking in Nassau (Nassau is the island where the water park Atlantis is.) This day was completely opposite then the day before. We went kayaking around 8:30 and by the time we were done kayaking it had started pouring rain. It was already cold, and then the rain made it freezing. As we were on our way back from our excursion we passed houses that belonged to Tiger Woods, Christina Aguilera, Oprah Winfrey, Chuck Norris, and a few others. If I could pick somewhere to build my house in the Bahamas it would not be Nassau.
We wanted to take cover from the rain when we made it back to land so we walked into a shopping area with the people just waiting around to bug you to buy stuff. After we couldn't take anymore of that we decided to head back to our cruise ship and shower and get warm. The picture above was before we made it back to our ship. But after we had cleaned up the rain had stop and the sun was starting to come out. We ventured back out hoping it wouldn't rain. We decided to go find a place called "the fish fry" which was about a mile in a half walk and the walk was through the sketchy parts so we found another couple and stayed by them. They showed us the way because they had been here a few times. We were so grateful that they walked with us the whole time. The fish fry is supposedly where the good food is. It is just a small street lined with about 10 places to eat, and almost all have the same food. We picked the one that had signs on it that said "as seen on nbc" or "as seen on top chef". It must be good and safe to eat at if its been on tv, right?

This is the best punch. Ever! I wish i had more.
We finished eating and decided to spend the money and catch a taxi back to the main area of town. And wouldn't you know that it started to rain again. We were lucky that it didn't rain long enough for us to eat. We decided to tough it out and try and go see things because when are we going to be back at this place. Really all we did was walk in any store we could so we could avoid the rain, we almost to the Pirate Museum but it was too expensive and didn't sound very fun. After going on a search to find some more Goombay Punch we decided to go back to the ship and dry off again because the rain was not letting up. It is hard to go exploring in a new place that is kind of sketchy and known for a lot of crime when there is just 2 of us.
We finally made it back to the ship, soaking wet.
We got back on our cruise ship pretty early so we still had all night to do something, so we went gambling! It was good way to end the night by winning some extra cash.

This was our last day in the Bahamas. The last island we went to was called Freeport. Freeport is the island where a lot of Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. It was filmed at a place called Lucayan National Park. We would have loved to go there, but we didn't have enough time and it was about an hour taxi ride there.

We met one couple on the cruise that was LDS couple who was also from Utah. It just so happened they were sitting on a bench by all the taxis trying to round up people to go Snorkeling because it was a cheaper to fill the Taxi van then just the two of them go.We were happy to run into them because we didn't know what we were going to do. Paradise Cove is where we went to snorkeling. It is the only place where you can snorkel right from the beach.

We saw so many sea creatures while snorkeling. We saw different types of sting rays, coral, fish, and a sea turtle. It was crazy how close we were to all of them. The water was about to the middle of my stomach for about 100 yards then there was reef/rock structure that we could swim around and it dropped to about 30 feet.

Again we were lucky and ended our snorkeling right before it started to rain again. Our taxi picked us up and it was nice and sunny again so we walked around the outdoor shops and it was a relaxing way to end our day.

But before we got back on the ship we decided to get a pina colada in a coconut WITHOUT rum... well there was rum in it. It was disgusting so we just had to throw it away. What a waste.

The last little bit of fun for our honeymoon was one day in Disney World. We got off the ship Saturday morning, caught the shuttle back to Orlando, parked our car at the hotel, caught another shuttle to Disney World. I didn't realize how large Disney world is to Disneyland. We only went to one "kingdom" and you have to drive to get to all the others or catch a shuttle.

The Haunted Mansion.

There is a new area that just opened up not long before we got there and it was for Beauty and the Beast. Here is Gaston's Tavern, where we got LeFou's   Brew.

So one really cool thing about Disney world was the ride Space Mountain. It is single seater! It was so fun, I didn't have to worry about bumping into the person sitting next to me (which in this case would have been my hubby)

The castle is way better then Disneylands. These lights were amazing! I just couldn't help but stare at it whenever I was by it.

If I had to choose Disneyland or Disney World i would choose Disneyland. No question about it. Disney World was fun in its own way, but it doesn't have the same feel. With all the "kingdoms" being separate I feel like its more to get your money where as Disneyland its all in one and there are way more rides and it feels like "the happiest place on earth". Disney World is puts there money into the new areas like Beauty the beast section.
It was such an amazing week! So much fun, and got to see so many new places, and so many new experiences. I was happy to get back to the dry Utah air though. I am definitely not a fan of humidity. But I'm so lucky to have married a husband to plan such a fantastic Honeymoon! I'm a lucky girl!
